The children's choir “Vozes da Estrela” was founded on 10th of February 2022, as a complementary activity of the Escola de Música de Gouveia, with the aim of promoting music and culture to all children, providing them with an enriching artistic experience. Formed by children between 6 and 14 years old, the choir has been a space for personal and artistic development, where young singers have the opportunity to explore their creativity, vocal expression and musical skills. With a diverse repertoire, “Vozes da Estrela” performs songs with children’s themes that enchant and engage both participants and the audience. In addition to displaying beautiful melodies, the choir also stands out for its fun choreography, which makes the performances even more captivating and dynamic. Each movement is carefully rehearsed by Prof.ª Cristina Nogueira, complementing the music to create a magical atmosphere in each show. Through its work, “Vozes da Estrela” not only develops musical talents, but also teaches values such as discipline, teamwork and love for art. The choir is a true reflection of the potential and joy of children, always lighting up any stage they perform on with their contagious energy and enchanting melodies. |

Created in 2011 by Prof.ª Ana Silva, the “Eu Sou Dança” project was born with the deep desire to give voice to movement, promoting dance as an individual and collective expression. In 2013, Prof.ª Mariana Coito joined the project, currently assuming the pedagogical and artistic coordination. In 2014, the project joined forces with Sociedade Musical Gouveense, officially becoming its dance section — a partnership that continues to this day and has consolidated the growth and impact of this school in Gouveia’s community. With more than 100 active students, “Eu Sou Dança” is an inclusive and sensitive space, which welcomes children, young people and adults, and which promotes contemporary dance, creative expression and choreographic composition as tools for human and artistic development. Through regular classes, presentations and original creations, the project offers more than technical training: it offers space to feel, to discover, to be. Here, every gesture tells a story, everybody is a voice, and every show is a celebration of what moves us — inside and out. |
